Quito, Ecuador
I have safely returned from Ecuador! My hope is to further awareness about some of the inspiring work that is already happening in the community of Quito. As I update this page on the current projects underway, I will try to add helpful info, links and photos so that you can find out more along with me! Stay updated as I plan my return in March 2008.
During the week of Thanksgiving I traveled with a small group of about six individuals who attend the Vineyard Church in Kansas City. Our work with an orphanage and women's prison in Quito was an amazing experience. This Thanksgiving I was extremely glad to be celebrating a new understanding of our world as we built friendships and supported others in empowering themselves and their community. Thank you for sharing your gifts and words of encouragement.
History:
Bennie, Patty and the rest of the family keeps you on your toes just trying to keep up, especially those Gonzales girls, Trinity and Ashley. Not to mention their amazing hospitality as six extra people crash out in their apartment all week.
Ramiro's Ministry in Quito includes a school, health
services, social services as well as job training and
microbusiness.
